Did you ever have one of those Jobe moments? You know what I mean. It doesn't matter how much you do right. Everything
you get back is wrong. I try to treat people right and respectfully, even though many of them don't deserve it. I haven't
drank much of anything in the way of alcohol in a few years now. I watched my father when I was growing up always having
a beer in his hand when he wasn't working. He rarely seemed to get drunk, but there was always a beer around that he was
sipping on. I tried drinking for a while when I was younger. I got pretty drunk a couple of times and decided that I didn't
really feel like living that way. I tried sipping on beer all day long like my dad, but that got old after awhile. It got
so it seemed like I was developing an allergy to alcohol (I have since discovered that it is probably something else) since
there are other side effects associated with drinking more than one or two beers that are a bit more than just getting tipsy.
It didn't seem like it was worth the trouble of being a serious casual drinker like my dad. I still have the occasional craft
beer, but they tend to be far between. I exorcize regularly. My biggest vice would probably be that I eat too much crap
(fried food, chocolate, soda). One of my favorite things to do is to go to a restaurant with someone else and just order
a few appetizers to eat together as our meal. They may be delicious, but very few of them are healthy. And what kind of
wrong things are being thrown at me? Well, last year I found out that I not only have high blood pressure, but it is more
like holy crap that's high blood pressure. It's the kind of blood pressure that makes people in the medical profession say
things like, "I've never seen blood pressure that high before." And naturally the doctors keep screwing up the medication
and never getting the right combination to take care of it. This year was the blood tests. First, this doctor is telling
me that I don't exorcize. I do a 20 minute step routine with an extra 30 pounds strapped to me almost every other day, followed
be crunches and other things. In between, I do such things as hiking for at least 3 to 4 miles at a time and doing at least
60 minutes on the wii fit. And this doctor tells me that he can tell by looking at a blood test that I don't exorcize. And
then there was the second blood test where they checked my sugar levels and told me that I have type 2 diabetes. Mind you,
it is very mild. I was told that a level of 5.7 or below is safe and that I was at 5.9. You think that just a little change
in diet would be enough to take care of that, but they gave me medication for it, anyway. We'll see how thing are in a few
months. And then the other day, someone comes to the door with a summons. Some collection agency is taking me to court over
a debt from a few years ago (I won't mention any names, since it hasn't gone to court yet). This was an account that I had
gotten a little behind on due to financial difficulties, but I was still making payments on. The company turned it over to
collection anyway. I figured, what else can go wrong? And then I sat down with my copy of the papers that came with the
summons and did the math on it. Now I don't feel so bad. The total amount that was financed was $1387.08. I added up all
of the payments that I had made on the account and discovered that they add up to $2629. I have already paid nearly twice
the loan amount. And they are telling me that I still owe $1923.36 on that original $1387.08. If I add that to what I have
already paid, that comes to $4552.36, which is 3.28 times the amount of the loan. That hardly seems legal. Suddenly I don't
feel so bad. I'm sure the only reason they filed the claim was to try and scare me into making a deal with them. I'm sorry.
All you did was piss me off. See you in court, assholes.
